A method using imagery and emotional processing to access and transform internal experiences.
Emotion-Image Therapy (EIT) helps release deep-seated emotional burdens by visualizing feelings as vivid mental images and working with them internally. Every emotion manifests physically—whether as a weight on the chest, a sense of being trapped, or a heavy burden on the shoulders. Emotions don’t exist in isolation; they leave tangible traces in the body, which becomes the starting point for exploration. By pinpointing where emotions reside in the body and tuning into physical sensations, clients can create precise images that serve as a direct route to uncovering both conscious and unconscious emotional states. These images act as guides, revealing the root causes of trauma and inner conflicts. EIT is a guided dialogue with the client’s subconscious, where the therapist supports the individual in recognizing negative emotional patterns and their origins, using effective techniques to transform these states.
Emotion-Image Therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that helps individuals express their emotional experiences through self-created imagery. Working with these images facilitates the transformation of negative emotions into neutral or positive states.
