Help please🙏🏻Found his frequent scrolling through girls' profiles before the wedding

There's only a week left before the wedding, and I keep looking for proof because my heart isn't at ease. And tonight, somehow, I found him scrolling through different girls' profiles almost every day—everything is cleared, so there's no trace. The browser is only in incognito mode. I saw a conversation where an ex-classmate invites him for coffee, and he’s not against it, saying he’s open to connections for work reasons. What worries me is that I’ve told him I’m against him meeting with girls, even as friends. And this girl looks like the one in the video. And he saves the video. I don’t know what to do?! I’m a little in shock. We’ve been together for 5 years, but from the very beginning, we’ve never had passion, and that summer about 2 months of sex—at that time, he’d say he didn’t want to, that my butt isn’t the right shape, or that I don’t invite him to intimacy the right way. Please help me see this from the outside❤️🙏🏻

Psychologists’ answers

Good morning!

I sense how anxious you are. That’s why it’s no surprise you’re reaching out for help.

But effective support will only come when it’s directed at your personal feelings, desires, values, and beliefs. And when it helps you establish a view of the situation that’s as close to reality as possible.

Do you agree with this approach?

So, what evidence are you looking for?

Without trust, what feelings do you have for him? Are they enough for you to get married?

Yes, you did say that. How did he respond to your words/requests/demands?

I think it would be helpful to attend at least one or two sessions with a psychologist to explore your feelings more deeply. That way, you can move beyond the state of

Thank you so much for your response ❤️

1. I already have experience with relationships involving betrayal, so I don’t know how to trust myself anymore. But I definitely know I want to be desired and loved. Without trust, it’s not a real relationship. Why did I start suspecting something? It began that summer, which is why I started going through everything.

2. How did he respond to my requests? He stayed silent. At the start of our relationship, he wanted to stay friends with his ex, but I set an ultimatum.

3. That was a display of indifference. I didn’t understand the reason. Even though I asked to understand his perspective, to fix things, to help, or just to be there for him, I felt abandoned—like I wasn’t enough, like something was wrong with me.

Good afternoon. It’s interesting that even after five years, you still don’t feel calm, desired, and confident around this person. The reason can’t lie solely with you—your partner (perhaps unconsciously) may be provoking this situation.

It’s better to have an honest conversation now and, if needed, delay a decision than to spend your whole life regretting that you didn’t listen to yourself. Marriage should begin with trust, not with searching for evidence.

If you can’t clarify this openly in conversation, consider attending a joint session with a family therapist. In the past, such consultations were offered directly at the registry office, and it’s a very useful experience for newlyweds before the wedding.
