Professional experience

I’m often asked where I’ve disappeared to on social media and why I don’t write about myself. I don’t write because I’m deeply immersed in my work. What am I so passionate about, you might ask? After completing my training in EMDR and trauma therapy, I’ve been enthusiastically integrating both approaches into my practice. The truth is, I’m amazed by the results when combining Gestalt therapy with EMDR. And when I add trauma therapy elements, the healing sometimes feels nothing short of miraculous. I’m endlessly grateful to Francine Shapiro, who created EMDR—a method rooted in neurophysiology that allows rapid processing of most traumas by bypassing psychological defenses. Where Gestalt therapy, systemic family therapy, and other methods I’ve used for over 18 years stall, EMDR comes to the rescue. Sometimes the results seem like magic. Using EMDR has helped me better understand how the psyche works, which has transformed not just my interventions but my entire perspective on therapy within my beloved Gestalt approach. As a result, trauma therapy—and therapy in general—has become far more efficient and effective. I’ve noticed this recently when several clients completed therapy or paused sessions because their lives had improved so much. This has freed up space in my schedule, so I’m now taking on two or three new clients. Currently, I work exclusively online, but if someone really needs an in-person session, I can accommodate them at my office in Odesa. If you’re looking for a therapist who delivers fast results, book a consultation—I’ll share details and explain a bit about EMDR therapy. I still offer individual sessions, work with families and groups, and provide supervision.
