Two cats not getting along in a private house

We took in a 6-month-old Bengal cat who had always lived in an apartment. Everything was fine in winter, but in spring, our cat started chasing the Bengal. When the Bengal went outside, our cat would chase him out of the yard. Now the Bengal doesn’t want to come back into the house—he runs around outside day and night, only coming back occasionally to eat. When I bring him inside, he eats and then meows by the door to be let out. I’m afraid he’ll become completely feral and refuse to live anywhere else. What should I do? How can I get him to return to the house, especially since he used to be very domestic and gentle?

Hello! I also love pets, but this is truly a question for zoopsychologists. It seems your cat is protecting its territory, and special measures are needed to help them get along with the new one.
